Kelly Drive Closing For Regatta This Wekeend

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia Police announced Wednesday that a portion of Kelly Drive will be detoured this weekend to accommodate a regatta on the Schuylkill River.

Police said the detour will be in place from 6:30 a.m. Saturday, May 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 7 as the Philadelphia Rowing Association's City Championship Regatta will be held over those days.

Southbound Kelly Drive traffic will be detoured up the Strawberry Mansion ramp to Fountain Green Drive, via Reservoir Drive, according to police

Northbound Kelly Drive traffic will be detoured up Fountain Green Drive along the same route, police said.

Detour signs will be posted along the routes to help drivers follow the detour.

Police said delays on Kelly Drive will be minimal.
