Reward Offered For Info On Philadelphia Bank Robber

The man seen here robbed a Wells Fargo Bank Monday and authorities are offering a reward for info leading to his arrest and conviction.

PHILADELPHIA — A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank Monday.

The FBI/PPD Violent Crimes Task Force is asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the subject responsible for the Feb. 25 robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 9101 Roosevelt Boulevard.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. Feb. 25, the suspect came into the bank, approached the counter, and gave a threatening demand note to a teller, authorities said.

After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the bank on foot, heading south on Roosevelt Boulevard then east on Welsh Road through the parking lot.

Authorities described the suspect a black male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with an athletic build, a scruffy black beard, and dark complexion.

He was wearing a black zip-front hooded sweatshirt over a green hooded sweatshirt with its hood up, over a white thermal shirt with long sleeves that covered most of his hands. He also had on dark sweatpants and a gray knit winter cap.

Authorities said the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
