Robber Hits Verizon Store In Roxborough: Philadelphia Police

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — A Verizon store in Roxborough was hit by a robber earlier this week, Philadelphia Police said.

The incident occurred at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at the store at 7110 Ridge Ave., police said.

A man came into the store and robbed it under the threat of a gun, police said.

The incident was captured on cameras, and footage showed a newer model black Honda Accord pull up to the shopping center parking lot with the suspect getting out of it, police said.

He was then seen going into the store, then coming out and getting into the passenger side of the Honda, police said.

The vehicle was last seen driving south on Ridge Avenue.

According to police, the same car and suspect committed the same type of robbery an hour later at a Verizon store in Upper Moreland Township.

Police described the suspect as a Black man around 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a light blue hoodie, gray sweatpants with a mask, and black biker gloves.

The Honda Accord had a partially covered paper tag, police said.
