Roxborough Man Traveled To Meet 14-Year-Old Girl For Sex: DA

ROXBOROUGH -- A Roxborough man has been arrested after traveling to Ridley Township for a sexual liasion with who he thought was a 14-year-old girl, the Delaware County District Attorney's Office said.

When Ryan Golankiewicz, 26, arrived at the meeting place in Ridley, however, police were waiting.

“Ryan Golankiewicz is a predator and his actions are a reminder to parents of the need to be vigilant in protecting children from those who relentlessly prey upon them on the internet," said District Attorney Jack Whelan. "Every day, law enforcement in Delaware County are working together to protect our children and remove these predators from our neighborhoods.”

Golankiewicz, of the 600 block of Autumn Rover Run, was first addressed online by an undercover cop on April 18 who posed as a 14-year-old girl, the DA said.

The cop responded to an Internet ad which Golankiewicz had placed entitled “High School of College girl (Manayunk)," according to the DA.

The conversations turned sexual on May 2, authorities said, and Golankiewicz said that he would provide the "girl" with alcohol at his house to help relax her.

Golankiewicz added that he would teach the "girl" how to have sex, and he went on to send photos of his genitalia, the DA said.

Golankiewicz told the girl he was a chemical engineer for an oil company and that he graduated from Villanova University.

A meeting was arranged on May 18 at the Sonic Restaurant in Ridley at about 3:34 p.m., according to the DA. Golankiewicz, who thought he was meeting the girl, was taken into custody.
