Roxborough Mural Painting Postponed

Organizers said inclement weather in Saturday's forecast led them to push the community painting event to a later date.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA – While the community is still invited to help paint Roxborough Pocket Park's new mural, it will have to be on a different date, as organizers have postponed the community painting event.

With Saturday's weather looking not so good for outdoor painting, organizers have rescheduled the community painting event for Sunday, June 25.

The event is free and open to anyone who wants to be part of the park's newest mural.

Mural Arts Philadelphia muralist and internationally known painter Paul Santoleri will be on hand along with representatives from the Roxborough Development Corporation, the Philadelphia Water Department, and the Mural Arts program, to guide painters.

Attendees will help Santoleri work on his mural, which is one of many changes coming to Pocket Park, organizers said.
