Roxborough Pocket Park Groundbreaking To Begin
Roxborough is undergoing a major new resdesign.

ROXBOROUGH -- The Roxborough Development Corporation (RDC) in conjunction with Groundswell Design Group will break ground on the first phase of the Roxborough Pocket Park on Monday, April 4, RDC announced.
The initial phase or Spring Planting was developed as the next step from Groundswell Design Group’s final plans for the site released to the public in January 2016.
The spring planting will install 14 evergreen and deciduous trees, 33 shrubs, and mulch in four planting beds in the corners of the park. The installation is being led by the project’s designers at Groundswell and is funded in part by the Philadelphia Water Department through the Schuylkill River Restoration Fund.

The pocket park project has and will continue to attract more investment into the Ridge Avenue Commercial Corridor.”
The Roxborough Pocket Park Spring Planting is expected to be completed by Sunday, April 17, 2016 in preparation for the Art Is Life spring street festival. The Roxborough Development Corporation is leading future fundraising efforts for the project and will release further timelines once they are available. Minimal pedestrian disruptions will be experienced at the pocket park during the planting installation.
