We asked Patch Readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:
- "The exit from 76 and Kelly Drive onto Ridge, as well as going from Ridge onto the City Avenue Bridge. Too many cars that have to switch lanes, many at the very last minute. It's only going to get worse when all the new apartment buildings are filled. I also agree with bikers not obeying traffic laws!"
- "The speeders on Fountain street, where there are two day care centers where small children cross the street, in particular, Hillside."
- "Speed on Henry Avenue and Cars going through red lights"
- "Trying to cross Umbria from the train station!!!! No one stops or slows at the crosswalk"
- "People treating Parker Avenue like a highway. No one ever stops at the stop signs, either"
- "Umbria Street speeding"
- "Cyclists who do not obey traffic signals!"
- "Speeders on Henry Avenue"
- "Drugs"
- "Pretzel park!"
