Roxborough Solstice Music Fest Kicks Off Saturday
Music, food, beer, activities, and more all at the free event this weekend in Gorgas Park.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA – This Saturday, Gorgas Park in Roxborough will play host to the 4th Annual Roxborough Solstice Music Festival where 12 regional and national acts will grace the stages.
The festival will be held from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 17 at Gorgas Park, 6300 Ridge Ave.
For the first time ever, this event will feature a Day Party with a live DJ, adult games and showcase local musicians performing track acts that begins at noon and ends at 3 p.m.

Scheduled to perform at the Day Party is solo artists Kachina, Audrey Jackson and Michael Voss. Attendees can enjoy the live music and DJ while sipping on mixed drinks from Kiki Vodka.

In addition to the musical performances, this free family friendly event will feature rides, games and prizes for children as well as a kid’s performance area.
A lighting celebration is set to take place at 8:30 p.m., as well.
Free for all to attend, the festival will feature food trucks, the solstice beer garden, and arts and crafts from variuos Roxborough-area vendors.
Food vendors will be Baby Blues BBQ, Rigatoni's Mobile Crabcakes, Curbside Creamery, and Glammy's Funnel Cakes & Cookies.

Volunteers are always needed for these types of events and you can be part of the festival. Volunteer opportunities are available all day from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The DuPont Municipal Parking Lot at 514 DuPont St. and the Leverington Municipal Parking Lot – 465 Leverington Ave. and 4549 Mitchell St. – will each have free parking for the festival.
The Roxborough Solstice Music Festival is a joint collaboration between the Roxborough Development Corporation and the Friends of Gorgas Park. The event is supported by Lyceum Physical Medicine, T-Mobile and MoreFM 101.1.
