Roxborough Teen Dies After Easter Shooting In South Philadelphia
William Bethel, 16, died Tuesday from wounds suffered in a shooting incident that occurred on the 800 block of South Street Sunday, April 1.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA – A teenage boy who called Roxborough home has died after being shot on Eater Sunday in South Philadelphia, police said.
According to police, William Bethel, 16, of Roxborough, died at 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3 at Thomas Jefferson Hospital.
Bethel was shot in the left pelvis at about 5:54 p.m., Sunday, April 1 on the 800 block of South Street, police said.

Bethel was taken to Thomas Jefferson were he was admitted in critical but stable condition, police said.
Subsequently, Bethel's condition worsened and he passed away.

Philly.com reports the shooting was likely the result of a dispute between two groups of kids.
Bethel was a sophomore at the Boys’ Latin of Philadelphia High School. In a tribute to Bethel on the school's website, he is remembered as a being "full of kindness" with a "magnetic spirit."
"Bill will be missed but ever-present in our hearts and minds," the tribute reads.
Police have not made any arrests and did not provide description of the shooter.
The investigation is ongoing.
