Roxborough YMCA Fit Family 5k Run and 2 Mile Walk

ROXBOROUGH -- The Roxborough YMCA Fit Family 5k Run and 2 Mile Walk will take place September 18 at 9 a.m. at the Valley Green Inn, on Valley Green Rd and Forbidden Drive in Wissahickon Park.

The 5K Run & 2 mile walk begins and ends at the front of the Valley Green Inn.

Take an adventure through one of Philadelphia’s most beautiful and scenic parks, Valley Green. You have the option to run or walk the exquisite Forbidden Drive, overlooking Wissahickon Creek:

Cost: $30 Adults (18+); $10 Youth (5-17). Amenities: FREE race shirt. Shuttle Service available to the start point from the Roxborough YMCA, 7201 Ridge Ave., Philadelphia. Shuttle will run every 15 minutes from 7:30-8:30am. Post-event refreshments & healthy snacks. Schedule: 7:30 - 8:30 AM Shuttle Service; 7:30 – 8:45 AM Registration; 9:00 AM 5K & 2 Mile Walk Begins; 10:00 AM Awards & Awards. Packet pick-up also available Thursday 9/22: 4-8pm Roxborough YMCA. Parking is limited at the start of the race. Please plan ahead and carpool with other runners if possible, or take a shuttle bus from the Roxborough YMCA. Awards: Overall Male & Female (5K) Top 3; Age Group Awards (5K) Top 3 (male & female) 10 & under, 11-17, 18 – 29, 30-39, 40 – 49, 50-59, 60-69; 70-100.

The overall winner receives three months of free membership to the Roxborough YMCA.
