Sen. Pat Toomey Rejects In-Person Town Hall After Meeting With Constituent Group

Tuesdays With Toomey met with the senator Monday with disappointing results, but Toomey called it "constructive."

A group called Tuesdays With Toomey has been pushing for Sen. Pat Toomey to hold an in person town hall meeting in Philadelphia so his constituents can voice their opinions on various hot topics.

Monday was a break in the stalemate, as the group met with Toomey Monday morning to discuss a possible town hall date.

But shortly after the group tweeted it was meeting with Toomey's people, they said he refused to schedule and in person event in Philly.

Toomey took to Twitter after the meeting, saying is was a "constructive discussion."

Toomey held a "town hall" on Facebook live with CBS Monday.

Last week, member of Tuesdays With Toomey gather outside his Philly office, demanding a town hall in the city.

Protestors gathered inside the building and were cited for disorderly conduct after being told to leave by police.
