SEPTA To Suspend Most Service Beginning Saturday Morning
With a blizzard on the way, SEPTA plans to suspend operations for at least 24 hours.

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- SEPTA has announced that they will suspend nearly all service ahead of the coming storm, effective early Saturday morning.
All SEPTA service, including trains, trolleys, buses, will be suspended beginning 4 a.m. Saturday, with the exception of the Market Frankford and Broad Street Lines, SEPTA announced Friday.
SEPTA officials said that the suspension is expected to last 24 hours, according to a 6 ABC report.

The worst of the storm is forecasted to hit throughout the day on Saturday.
The Market and Broad lines are crucial for emergency workers, hospital employees, and other essential personnel, Fox 29 reports.

Should the storm become too severe, officials noted they could also restrict service on those lines to just the underground portion.
Trains may still be seen operating during the storm as they attempt to plow snow from rails and overhead wires, according to CBS 3.
