MANAYUNK -- A boozed up, reimagined version of Shakespeare's classic will be performed at a unique Manayunk venue.
Manayunk Theatre Company will present ShakesBEER: A Midsummer Night's Dream on Friday March 25 at 8 p.m. at the Manayunk Brewing Company.
Tickets are $15, $10 if you are in your 20s, and includes a free drink.

According to the Theatre Company:
All bets are off when a group of professional performers come together to blur lines (and their vision) between audience and actor through America’s oldest past time-drinking. Forbidden love comes under fire as two young women run away from their oppressors and straight into a forest filled with dueling fairy royalty, Tequila wielding fairies and bumbling amateur actors just trying to get a job. Followed in hot pursuit by a spurned lover and the man who loves him

This gender-bent production critiques old notions of proper behavior and brings together some of Philadelphia’s finest up and coming talent including Danielle Lenee (Orbiter 3’s A KNEE THAT CAN BEND), Doug Greene (Mauckingbird’s THE SISTERHOOD), Rachel O’Hanlon-Rodriguez (Flashpoint’s LULU’S GOLDEN SHOES) Hannah Van Sciver (BICYCLE FACE, Revolution Shakespeare’s LOVES LABOURS LOST) and others to bring Shakespeare’s most famous comedy to life for a one night only celebration of life, art, love and booze.
