Join us for Thursday night paddles followed by a Pot-luck dinner at the Philadelphia Canoe Club on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month starting May 8th through August 14th. We will launch at 5:45pm so plan to arrive at 5:30 to get outfitted. This is a recreational flat water paddle (canoe, kayak and SUP) lasting about one hour on the Schuylkill River, leavingfrom and returning to Philadelphia Canoe Club.Bring something to share (food or drink) after the paddle. Non-members are welcome and equipment is available upon request. There is a $10 charge for boat/paddle & life jacket, if needed. OK to bring your own boats/SUPs. Both canoes and recreational kayaks are available from PCC on a first come/first serve basis. We have plenty of boats but you may need to take out a canoe if we run out of kayaks. There is also a $5.00 insurance coverage charge to all participants. This is NOT a training class and some prior paddling experience and/or training is required. You must be able to swim.
