Six Arrested at Corbett, Christie Protest in Philly

Governors Tom Corbett and Chris Christie faced as many as 1,000 protesters Monday during a fundraising stop in Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that six people were arrested during the protests in Center City. The six arrested were reportedly sitting down on 17th Street. 

The protesters were angry about cuts to education, according to reports.  

Fox 29 reported Corbett and Christie were scheduled to attend a private fundraiser at the Union League.

Christie joined Corbett, who is running for reelection, in his role as chairman of the Republican Governors Association, which hosted the fundraiser.
