Starving Dog Rescued From Trash Bag In Wissahickon Park
A woman was walking her dog through Wissahickon Park when they came upon a black trash bag on the side of the trail.

A starving and cold dog in Wissahickon Park found a reason to be grateful Tuesday.
When Barbara Adams came through the park for her traditional walk with her own dog, Samson, she came upon the pup under the McCallum Street Bridge.
Samson found a black plastic bag on the trail and began sniffing inside of it.

“I turned around and my dog was sniffing at this black plastic bag and when I looked closer there was a dog’s head sticking out of it," Samson said, according to the Pennsylvania SPCA. "She was looking at me with very, very sad eyes. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! What do I do?”'
Adams picked up the dog and hiked back to her car, before calling the SPCA.
