Breaking: one man is dead after gunfire erupted while US Marshals were serving a warrant in Philadelphia Monday morning, reports state.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — One man is dead after gunfire erupted while US Marshals were serving a warrant in Philadelphia Monday morning, reports state.

The incident occurred at around 10 a.m. inside a home on the 1300 block of Hellerman Street, according to 6ABC.

The suspect, a 28-year-old man, reportedly pointed a weapon at the marshals in the rear driveway of the home, and that's when marshals opened fire.

NBC 10 reports that the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. It's not yet clear who the suspect was nor for what crimes he was wanted.

One other individual was arrested, reports state.
