Talent Contest to Be Held in Manayunk, Semifinals Start Friday

Does Manayunk have talent? Find out in March, when Venice Island Performing Arts & Recreation Center is holding a talent contest.

The contest, to be held March 19, will feature singers, musicians, choral groups, actors and theatre artists, as well as poets, stand-up comedians, dancers, performance artists, jugglers, circus folks and improv troupes.

Acts should be about four minutes, according to organizers. Use this signup sheet to enter. Prizes will be awarded to winners.

Semi-final performances will be held on Jan. 30 and Feb.20, with the best of the best heading to the final.
