Roxborough, PA -- Target has announced plans to open a new store in Roxborough, projected to open in March 2017, according to a press release.
The new Roxborough "flexible-format store," located in Brixmor Property Group’s Ivyridge shopping center, is on the southeast corner of Ridge Avenue and Domino Lane, officials said.
The store will be approximately 47,000 square feet and will provide a quick-trip shopping experience with a wide variety of options.The press release notes the following items will be available:

- Offerings for families and kids’, including baby care, kids’ apparel, home décor, toys and sporting goods
- Men’s and women’s apparel and accessories
- Fresh, grab-and-go groceries and meal solutions
- A health and beauty assortment
- Decorative and on-trend home pieces
- Apparel and accessories from local sports teams
- Stationery and gift items
- Services will include a Pharmacy and Order Pickup
Flexible-format stores are a priority for Target, and the company says that guests have responded well to having these customized stores available in areas where they previously couldn’t have been opened before.
Flexible-format stores "vary in size and assortment, and allow us to create a more locally-relevant experience for guests in urban areas," according to Target's corporate website.

The company currently operates 19 flexible-format stores and will continue to open additional flexible-format locations, including the 26 stores that have been announced to-date for 2016 and 2017.
