Trooper In Manayunk Stops Burglary...At His Own House: Report

A would-be burglar in Manayunk was busted when he made a very poor selection in his target.

MANAYUNK -- A would-be burglar in Manayunk was busted when he made a poor selection in choosing which home to target: that of a Pennsylvania state trooper.

The incident occurred at about 3 a.m. on February 20 on the 4200 block of Main Street, according to a report.

The trooper heard a noise at his front door and saw the doorknob turning, and when he opened the door, there was the robber, armed with a metal scrapers, the report states.

The trooper detained the man, Justin Miskovich, 32, from the 4300 block of Crescent Street, which is close by, according to the report.

Miskovich has no record, Philly.com reports. He has been charged with attempted burglary, criminal trespass, and other charges.

The trooper is part of the Troop K barracks in Philadelphia.
