Victim Robbed of $5 at Gunpoint on Schuylkill River Trail: Cops
A suspect held a couple up at gunpoint along the Schuylkill River Trail early Friday morning, stealing $5, police said.
Police are searching for a suspected robber who made off with $5 from a victim overnight on the Schuylkill River Trail, according to Philadelphia Police.
A man and a woman were walking on the Schuylkill River Trail near JFK Boulevard at about 1 a.m. early Friday morning, police said.
A masked suspected approached them with a handgun and took the $5 and their cell phones

No injuries were reported.
Safety on the trail has intermittently been an issue over the last year or so. Police have also reported incidents of young men, sometimes on bikes, approaching runners and walkers at various points on the trail, holding a BB gun that appears to be real.

There have also been reports of runners and walkers being harrassed and sometimes sexually assaulted.
