WATCH: Harlem Globetrotters Surprise SEPTA Commuters

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Basketball has never been a sport confined to the court, to the indoor arena, or even to an area with a basket in sight.

The Harlem Globetrotters proved that on Wednesday when they surprised commuters on the SEPTA train from Trenton to North Philadelphia.

The group dribbled, crossed over, and spun their way through the station and onto the train as commuters watched the once in a lifetime show in disbelief.

"It's so important to have joy in your life," one woman on the train said to a group of Globetrotters. "And that's what you are doing by coming here."

The Globetrotters transferred over to the Broad Street Line, where they proceeded to the Wells Fargo Center in South Philly.

Temple alum TNT Maddox was among the crew that returned to Philly with her teammates Firefly Fisher, Handles Franklin, Hawk Thomas, and El Gato Melendez.

The Globetrotters are celebrating their 90th year and have a record ten games in the area from March 2 through March 12, including:

• Friday, March 4 at 7 p.m. – Liacouras Center at Temple University
• Saturday, March 5 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. – Sun National Bank Center in Trenton
• Sunday, March 6 at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. – Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia
• Tuesday, March 8 – Delaware at Bob Carpenter Center (7pm)
• Friday, March 11 at 7 p.m. – Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City
• Saturday, March 12 at 12:30 p.m. – Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia
