WATCH: Wiener Dog Races At Lucky's Last Chance

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA – Once again, Dachshunds and Dachshund mixes were in the throes of competition, as Lucky's Last Chance hosted is annual Great Wiener Race Wednesday in Manayunk and we have footage and photos of the epic races.
Each year, the Main Street eatery hosts the race and raises money for the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) to help them continue their mission to help animals in the city
Funds for PAWS were raised by Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company beer sales Wednesday night and from special menu items available at Lucky's throughout July.

Philly.com reports 40 "wiener" dogs participated in the races, though some of the competitors didn't race per se. Rather, some walked, sat, and stopped for some human affection.
Pure bred Mazie was crowned champion in her category.

Mixed-breed Dilly emerged the victor in the mixed-breed category, according to the outlet.
