Weekend Pick: Philly Mart Debuts in Manayunk

The Philly Mart will hold its first market event at the Venice Island Recreation Park this weekend. Venice Island officially opened last week, with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by the mayor.

The market focuses on selling artisan made items, including: crafts; new, vintage and upcycled jewelry; original art and photography; paintings; home textiles; ceramics; clothing; woodwork; antique and vintage housewares and more.

The market will be held one Saturday each month, starting this week. Market hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The next scheduled market event is Nov. 8.
