Since the summer, Mitros and his defense team have maintained his innocence calling his wife's death a tragic accident.
In the Newsworks article, Mitros claims that his wife had been suicidal for years, but that is an avenue the district attorney's office is not pursuing.

A pre-trial conference is scheduled for Dec. 6, the Newsworks article stated, adding that even though a plea deal has been discussed, Mitros said he will not plead guilty to something he did not do.
