Woman Stabbed In Roxborough Home Invasion Wednesday: Police

Police said the victim heard a noise at her side door early Wednesday morning and when she opened the door she was immediately stabbed.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA – A woman was stabbed inside her Roxborough home during a home invasion earlier this week and Philadelphia Police are searching for the suspect.

According to police, at about 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, a woman living on the 500 block of Paoli Avenue heard a noise at her side door.

She opened the door to see what was outside her home and was immediately stabbed by a man, police said.

As a result of the attack, the victim suffered from 13 cuts to her hands, arms, and chest, according to police.

According to Action News the victim's infant children were in the home during the incident.

The outlet reports police found a Swiss Army Knife that was stolen from the victim's vehicle and that the knife was used to open the door to the house.

She was treated at Albert Einstein Medical Center and released, police said.

Nothing was taken in the incident.

Police said the suspect was described as a black man in his 30s, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and wearing dark clothing.
