Wissahickon's Yellow Trail Reopening Postponed
The trail was set to reopen this week, but the closure is now extending through early March as work on the Walnut Lane Bridge continues.

PHILADELPHIA – The Yellow Trail in Wissahickon Valley Park was set to reopen this week, but the Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW) group said the reopening has been delayed for a few more months.
The closed section of the Yellow Trail was set to reopen Wednesday, Dec. 20, but the FOW said the closure has extended through March 1, 2018.
Crews are working on part of the Walnut Lane Bridge, which is creating hazardous conditions on the portion of trial that goes under the bridge.

The group is urging those who use the park and trail to follow all signage and safety barriers, as well to avoid the construction zone, as work is underway.
"This area will be extremely dangerous," the group said in its announcement.
