• First confirmed case of measles in Broome County as outbreak continues (pressconnects.com) — Sayre residents should be aware that Broome County's first confirmed measles case is part of a wider regional outbreak that has already involved an emergency room visit in Sayre. While no local cases were confirmed from that visit, health officials warn that relatively low vaccination rates in nearby communities could fuel more infections and urge people to stay current on immunizations.
