3.B.T. Productions will hold its second Diversity in Film panel at The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center in Sewickley on Thursday, July 23, at 7 p.m. 3.B.T. is a Pittsburgh-based production company that was founded by local filmmakers Xayne Allen, Delaney Hathaway and Charlie Grey in 2021. Diversity in Film: Vol. 2 will feature 10 locally made shorts and a panel of five film industry professionals discussing the importance of telling stories from many different perspectives. Tickets are free, but <a href="https://thelindsaytheater.org/event/3-b-t-productions-presents-diversity-in-film-vol-2/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">RSVPs</a> are recommended in advance due to space limitations.

The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center in Sewickley continues its <a href="https://thelindsaytheater.org/event/summer-series-nine-on-90s/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Summer Series: Nine on '90s</a> with two <a href="https://thelindsaytheater.org/films/boyz-n-the-hood/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Boyz N the Hood</a> screenings on Sunday, July 26, at 1 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 7:30 p.m. Writer-director John Singleton's semi-autobiographical drama is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. Boyz N the Hood stars Cuba Gooding Jr., Ice Cube and Morris Chestnut as three young Black growing up in South Central Los Angeles. The Lindsay's Nine on '90s series kicked off on June 4 and runs through Aug. 27. Each film in this series will play twice throughout July and August. The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center in Sewickley is hosting a special Spider-Man: Brand New Day <a href="https://thelindsaytheater.org/event/spider-man-brand-new-day-preview-screening/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">preview screening</a> on Thursday, July 30, at 7:30 p.m. Spider-Man: Brand New Day finds an adult Peter Parker (Tom Holland) living in a New York that doesn't remember him. As the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence. This early screening will be introduced by Dave Bishop, co-owner of Sewickley’s Big Bang Comics and Collectibles; and Phillip Thompson (aka DJ Big Phil), a multi-hyphenate artist and avid comic book collector. <a href="https://thelindsaytheater.org/films/spiderman-brand-new-day/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Tickets</a> are available at The Lindsay or online for $11 each.
