The world premiere of the concert documentary Forever Young: A Bob Dylan Tribute will take place at The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center in Sewickley on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 1 p.m. Forever Young transports viewers back to a magical evening in summer 2025 when famed Pittsburgh musicians Billy Price and Joe Grushecky serenaded an audience at Lawrenceville’s Thunderbird Café &amp; Music Hall with a selection of Bob Dylan’s most beloved hits. In addition to showing the film, Price and Grushecky will perform live in The Lindsay’s Large Screening Room and participate in a post-screening Q&amp;A alongside director Len Caric. Tickets are free, and <a href="https://thelindsaytheater.org/event/forever-young-a-bob-dylan-tribute-world-premiere/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">RSVPs</a> are recommended in advance due to space limitations.

"Forever Young: A Bob Dylan Tribute" World Premiere

The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center's latest Emerging Filmmakers Showcase is the documentary Fedeltà. Soldier. Prisoner. on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7:30 p.m. This internationally acclaimed film from Bloomfield-raised director Steve Mancini focuses on Italian prisoners of war captured in North Africa and Sicily who ended up at Letterkenny Army Depot outside of Chambersburg. Their fairly short stay left an impact on that region that is still felt today. Mancini will be on hand for a live filmmaker Q&amp;A immediately following the screening. Tickets are free, and <a href="https://thelindsaytheater.org/event/emerging-filmmakers-showcase-fedelta-soldier-prisoner/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">RSVPs</a> are recommended in advance due to space limitations.

Emerging Filmmakers Showcase: ‘Fedeltà. Soldier. Prisoner.’

The <a href="https://www.mtncraftfilmfestival.com/winners-tour" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Mtn Craft Film Festival Winners Tour</a> will stop by The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center in Sewickley on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 7:30 p.m. The Mtn Craft Film Festival takes place annually in West Virginia and celebrates Appalachian film and filmmakers. Mtn Craft is currently on the road showing off last year’s winners at various locations throughout the region. The only Winners Tour stop in Pennsylvania will be at The Lindsay. This program will feature six award-winning short films and a post-screening Q&amp;A. The <a href="https://thelindsaytheater.org/event/jmq-pictures-showcase/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">JMQ Pictures Showcase</a> will take place at The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 7:30 p.m. The Lindsay’s latest Emerging Filmmakers Showcase will feature three locally made projects created by Brookline native Jameson Quinn’s production company, JMQ Pictures. We will screen Sandman (14 minutes), about a boxer making a comeback; Empty (15 minutes), a detective noir; and Cornered (18 minutes), a TV pilot following one DEA agent’s efforts to capture a drug ring and avenge his friend’s death. Quinn will lead an in-person Q&amp;A immediately following the screening. Tickets are free, and we recommend RSVPing in advance via our website due to space limitations.

The 2026 Pittsburgh Silent Film Festival kicks off at The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center with 1926's <a href="https://thelindsaytheater.org/event/pittsburgh-silent-film-festival-the-black-pirate/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">The Black Pirate</a> on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m.
The Black Pirate was directed by Albert Parker and stars Douglas Fairbanks as the titular swashbuckler who embarks on a revenge mission against the pirates who killed his father. This screening will be accompanied by a live original score, courtesy of the locally based Thoth Trio. The Pittsburgh Silent Film Festival will take place across multiple locations from Sunday, Sept. 27 through Sunday, Oct. 4. <a href="https://thelindsaytheater.org/films/the-black-pirate/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Tickets</a> to The Black Pirate at The Lindsay cost $15 each.
The Pittsburgh Silent Film Festival is showing a 4K technicolor restoration of The Black Pirate. It was restored by The Museum of Modern Art and The Film Foundation in Cooperation with the British Film Institute. Funding was provided by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, with special thanks to Alexander Payne.
