Charles Henry Fletcher, Jr.
A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, in St. Stephens Church, Sewickley.

Charles Henry Fletcher Jr., of , Pa., a prominent retired Banker with Mellon Bank, passed away September 30, 2011.
Born in Grosse Point, MI, Aug. 26, 1924 to the late Charles Henry Fletcher & Cara Louise VanCampen, he graduated in 1945 from Cornell Univ. with BS in Mechanical Engineering & later obtained a MBA from the University of Detroit.
Mr. Fletcher was a member of , , , Duquesne Club & Rolling Rock Club. He joined Mellon Bank in 1960 as Assistant Vice President to head up a new management Development Program. Mr. Fletcher became head of the Personnel Ofice of Mellon Bank in 1966 and in October, 1968 was appointed Senior Vice President. In July 1982, he became head of the new Community Affairs Division of the Corporate Office of Mellon Bank. He was also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mellon Bank Foundation.

He was also predeceased by his wife in July of 2005, Mary Elizabeth Cosgrove. Surviving are his children Ben G. Parsons of San Rafael CA, Susan Fletcher Eddy of Sewickley and Charles Henry Fletcher III of Oahu, HI,; his two sisters Ann Haughton of Clearwater FL and Louise Pierce of Flint MI. His grandchildren: Randolph Post Eddy III of NY, NY, Elizabeth Eddy Ruth, NY, NY, Christen Eddy Hadfield of Concord, MA, Kellen and Katie Fletcher both of Los Angeles, CA and Charles Henry Fletcher IV of Hawaii; also four great-grandchildren survive.
