Home of the Year: Pittsburgh Magazine Chooses 'Tuscan Dream' in Wexford

The lakefront house is in the Lake MacLeod neighborhood.

If you're imagining a dream home while visions of Italy dance in your head, look no farther than theΒ Lake MacLeodΒ neighborhood in Wexford (Pine Township.)

That is where you'll find the Tuscan-styled home thatΒ Pittsburgh MagazineΒ has dubbedΒ its 2013 Home of the Year for new construction.Β

"This four-story, 8,000-square-foot home has Tuscan details throughoutβ€”arched doorways, marble inlays, an octagonal rotunda that runs through all four levels and two outdoor living areasβ€”one an open-air balcony and the other a covered loggia with tile floor stone fireplace and view of the lake. A little taste of Italy in the β€˜burbsβ€”only in the 'Burgh," the article says.
