2 dogs were running loose yesterday and killed one of my chickens. The 1st dog ran off. Not sure what it was. The second dog was a pure bred rottweiler. It went through my electric fence after my goats and wouldn't leave. We were finally able to run it off but ultimately lost my beloved pet after 10 years. Now we have a very distraught single goat that has never been without her. This is heartbreaking. This was in Sewickley Hills late afternoon yesterday. We have neighbors in the area with chickens, small dogs, cats, a working sheep farm just up the road. So it is very important these animals are caught and the owners know what their dogs are capable of. It is very important that your dogs are always under your control when off property. You never know what they may do. This dog went straight through active Electric fence to kill my goat. He bit her deeply several times around the neck and her back end. We took her and had her put down on the advice of the emergency clinic. Her breathing was bad and the wounds were very deep.
If you know who these dogs are or who they belong to please contact the Ohio Twp Police. They already have a report.
I am afraid to put my animals outside for fear it will come back for more chickens or my other goat. Please watch your animals if you live in the area. These dogs have not been caught.
