MixStirs Cafe is Back!

The cafe known for its healthy menu is back in business, though technically the Sewickley store never really closed.

A local cafe offering healthy drinks and eats is  after an announcement came last week that the shop would close.

Former manager and co-owner Justin Morris told Patch on Friday that  was going out of business due to a lack of overall business and that Saturday would be the last day.

A new sign outside the Beaver Street business says otherwise.

Brandon Diewald, manager of MixStirs, said the store is now under new management and is not closing, though he said the business did have to close early on Saturday because it ran out of supplies.

So what’s changed?

Diewald said the store’s partners who previous had a 25 percent share in the company have now taken over full ownership, a decision that was made on Sunday.

Diewald said he was told Sunday he could come to work on Monday. On Tuesday, he was busy filling orders and making drinks.

Customers are invited to stop in for their favorite smoothies, fruit drinks, wraps and soups.

Diewald said the restaurant’s menu is the same and its hours haven’t changed.

“The hours are the same until the summer months. Then, we should be open longer,” he said.
