Other Voices: Golf's Semple Thompson Goes 1:1 With The Post & Courier

The Sewickley native and celebrated amateur golfer talks about her career and golf today with Tommy Braswell while in Charleston, SC for a tournament there.

Sewickley's Carol Semple Thompson, one of golf's greatest amateurs and a winner of more Curtis Cup matches than any other player, talks about her career, the impact of technology on her sport and her induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame in a recent interview with the The Post & Courier newspaper in Charleston, S.C.

A member of a well-known family in golf and Sewickley circles, Semple Thompson, 53, was in Charleston for the Women’s Eastern Amateur competition at the Yeamans Hall Club there.

She shares her view on hypnotism and also gives a shout-out to former Pittsburgh Post-Gazette sportswriter Marino Parascenzo, saying he'd pledged to keep her on the Hall of Fame ballot until she was voted in as a member.
