Q: What do you suggest when it comes to packing up Christmas decorations?
A: Here are two pack up strategies:
1.) If you decorate each room the same way every year- I suggest using sturdy, clear bins and designate a bin for each room. Store all decorations for a particular room into the bin(s). Label the bins by room. When you are pulling out the decorations next year- just place the bin into the designated room and get started.
2.) If you decorate a little differently each year then you may want to consider packing decorations so like items are together. Put a few groupings of similar items in each bin ( i.e. figurines, nutcrackers, garland etc) . Label each bin with a mini inventory list of what's inside.
No matter how you choose to decorate for the holiday, here's another little tip before you pack up: take pictures of your decorated home so you can duplicate the look next year. Store the photos in your bins or on your computer.
