QVHS' Aubrey Bouchard Selected for Premier U.S. Lacrosse Tournament; Named Academic All-American

Three-Year Varsity Player and Member of Pittsburgh Premier Lacrosse Club Joins Top High School Players in National Showcase Tourney

The 2015 Brine National High School All-America Selection Committee today announced that Sewickley resident and Quaker Valley High School Lacrosse team member Aubrey Bouchard has been named a Brine National All-America player and selected to participate in the Brine National Lacrosse Classic, the premier showcase of top high school players from around the country.

Bouchard, who will be a senior at Quaker Valley High School this fall, was selected as an All-America player based on her accomplishments on the field, in the classroom, and following regional invitational tryouts for All-America consideration by the selection committee.

Aubrey has been a member of the QVHS Lacrosse team since she was a freshman and plays the Attack position for the Quakers. During her first three letter-winning seasons at QVHS she scored more than 100 goals, as well as scoring three goals during the Quakers’ recent WPIAL Division 1 Girls Championship game victory over Mount Lebanon.

In addition to being named the MSA Sports Network’s “Female Lacrosse Athlete of the Month” for her performance with the Quakers team, Aubrey was also  named an Academic All-American by the United States Lacrosse organization. She was also recognized as a 2015 National Honor Society recipient, achieving a 4.3 GPA during her junior year at QVHS.

The Brine National Lacrosse Classic enables student-athletes committed to pursuing the sport at the collegiate level with an opportunity to gain exposure to the college admissions and athletic recruitment process. The tournament brings the top high school Lacrosse players from across the nation to one venue, where regional teams will compete for national recognition attended by Division I NCAA Lacrosse coaches.

The Brine National Lacrosse Classic will be held June 29-July 2 at the River City Sportsplex in Midlothian, Virginia.

Two of Aubrey’s fellow QVHS teammates, Sophomores Maggie Dobbins and Sophia Poppenberg, were also selected as Brine National Lacrosse All-America players and will join her at the National Lacrosse Classic tournament.

Aubrey is the daughter of Esmark, Inc. Chairman and CEO James Bouchard and his wife Carolyn of Sewickley.
