Sewickley Councilman Resigns, Leaves Seat Vacant

The Sewickley Council is seeking to fill its vacant Ward 3 seat.

The Sewickley Council is seeking to fill the vacant Ward 3 seat following the resignation of one of its council members.

Former Ward 3 representative Stan Ference’s resignation took effect on Tuesday, Jan. 20, according to The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Ference served as the Ward 3 representative on the Sewickley Council for nine years before resigning. Ward 3, one of three wards in the borough, is bounded by Walnut Street on the north and Beaver Street on the east.

The Council will be accepting applications for the vacant Ward 3 representative seat from residents in Ward 3 through Feb. 3, TribLive.com said. Applications can be found at the borough building, located at 601 Thorn St., or at the Sewickley Borough website.
