Sewickley Woman Sentenced for Identity Theft
The Western Pennsylvania Financial Crimes Task Force conducted the investigation that led to Benedict's prosecution

A Sewickley woman wasΒ sentenced in federal court to two yearsΒ probation on her conviction of identity theft, according to the U.S. attorney's office in Pittsburgh.Β
U.S. District Judge Donetta W. Ambrose imposed the sentence on AnastaciaΒ Benedict, 24, of 534 Hill St.
According to a news release,Β BenedictΒ attempted to use retail store charge cards to make purchases without the card owner's permissionΒ on or about Nov. 2, 2011.
The Western Pennsylvania Financial Crimes Task Force (WPFCTF) conducted theΒ investigation that led to Benedict's prosecution.Β
