Update: PennDOT Postpones Way Hollow Road Reconstruction in Sewickley Heights
Due to inclement weather, this work has been postponed until Monday, Nov. 5. The road will be closed through mid-November.

Road construction crewsΒ plan to begin work Monday, Oct. 29 to reconstruct Way HollowΒ Road in Sewickley Heights, according toΒ Jim Struzzi, PennDOT spokesman.
Struzzi said PennDOTβs Allegheny County maintenance unit will be reconstructing a section of WayΒ HollowΒ RoadΒ between BackboneΒ RoadΒ and WoodlandΒ Road.Β

WayΒ HollowΒ RoadΒ will be closed beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Monday continuously for approximately two weeks through mid-November. About 824 vehicles useΒ WayΒ HollowΒ RoadΒ on an average day.
The road will remain open for local traffic only. Through traffic will be detoured using Centennial Avenue to Grove Street to BackboneΒ RoadΒ and vice versa.Β

Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns and allow extra time when traveling through the area. Β
