• Eighth inning walk-off sends Smethport to the postseason on Senior Night (oleanstar.com) — Smethport’s Hubbers baseball team clinched a District 9 Class A playoff berth on Senior Night with an extra-innings walk-off at home, highlighted by senior Colin Riekofsky’s game-winning hit and 13 strikeouts. The dramatic 5–4 win over Otto-Eldred also marked Riekofsky’s 100th career strikeout and capped the team’s final regular-season home game in Smethport.
