10-Year-Old Boy Injured in ATV Accident

He was flown by MedEvac from Lower Milford scene to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.

A 10-year-old boy was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in an all-terrain-vehicle accident off Schoolhouse Lane in Lower Milford.

Lower Milford Fire Chief Richard DeFiore said the boy was flown by MedEvac to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.

The boy was riding on a dirt track at 1:30 p.m. when he hit a washed-out area in the terrain. That launched the ATV into a tree, DeFiore said. The boy had been at a family picnic and was riding with a friend, who was on a separate ATV behind him, when the accident occurred. The family was with the child when emergency responders arrived, DeFiore said.
