Obituary: Adam W. Stephens, Founder, Cetronia Ambulance

Adam W. Stephens died Thursday, April 12, 2012.

Adam W. Stephens, 93, of Cetronia, passed away, Thursday, April 12, 2012 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown Campus.

He was the husband of Irene D. (Warmkessel) Stephens. They celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary, Monday, April 9.

Adam was born in Allentown, a son of the late William and Cora (Litzenberger) Stephens. He was employed at the Crest Plaza State Store for 25 years before retiring as the manager in 1975.

Adam was a Navy Veteran of World War II, where he served as a Seabee. He was a member of , and Boy Scouts of Amerca,Troop #29, both of Cetronia.

Adam founded the in 1955. He served as the caretaker of the Cedar Church Cemetery for over 50 years. He was a loving husband and father.

Survivors: Wife; Son: Bruce A. Stephens of Cetronia.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Cedar U.C.C., 3419 Broadway, Allentown. Call 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. in the church.
