Commissioners Approve Subdivision On 40th Street

The property will be divided into four lots.

South Whitehall commissioners have approved a resolution to divide a property at 120 N. 40th St. into four 10,000-square-foot lots.

The property, in an area of the township zoned as medium-density residential, is owned by David Costa of South Whitehall, according to assessment records. The property used to be part of 4010 Turner St.

The new lots would have 80 feet of road frontage.

Two of the lots would access North 40th Street and two would access North Sterling Street, according to information provided at the commisisoners' meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 5.

To preserve rows of trees, sidewalk improvements will not be made on North Sterling and North 40th streets, nor will curbing be required on N. Sterling Street.
