Copper Spouts Stolen, Other Incidents Reported

The following information was supplied by the South Whitehall Police Department.

According to South Whitehall police, the following were among the incidents that occurred in the township from Dec. 7 to Dec. 9:

Theft:

-- A copper rain spout was stolen from 218 Parkview Ave. and another copper spout was taken from 20 Parkview Drive; reported on Dec. 9

-- Two iPods were stolen at Parkland High School; reported Dec. 7

-- Two electric jackhammers were taken from a shed at 1450 Coventry Road; reported 12:18 p.m. Dec. 8.

-- A laptop worth $600 was taken from Room 1533 at the Rodeway Inn, 1151 Bulldog Drive; reported 10:29 p.m. Dec. 8.

Burglary:

--Someone smashed the front door at Vogt’s Jewelers, 3025 Tilghman St., but didn’t get into the store; reported 1:03 a.m. Dec. 9.

Theft from vehicle:

-- Someone stole a laptop from an unlocked vehicle at 1543 Abigail Lane; reported 7 a.m. Dec. 9.

-- A window on a vehicle parked at Mangos restaurant, 3750 Hamilton Blvd. was smashed and a purse stolen; reported 10:24 p.m. Dec. 9.

-- A window on a vehicle parked at LA Fitness, 1515 Mauch Chunk Road, was smashed and a GPS taken; reported 10:15 p.m. Dec. 9.
