* What makes you proud of the Democratic Party?
I am proud to be a Democrat because I know that as a party we stand for the ideals and the people who make this country great, the middle class and the least among us. We work hard to ensure that every American is able to have the advantages necessary to live the American Dream. Throughout history, Democrats have enacted laws and policies to make sure this happens. Under Democratic leadership many such laws and programs were implemented, such as Social Security, the Civil Rights Act, Child Labor Laws, and most recently, the Affordable Care Act. For these reasons and because of the great leadership of men like Roosevelt, Kennedy, Clinton and Obama, I am extraordinarily proud to be a Democrat.
* What issues matter in the Lehigh Valley?
The most pressing issue to us as a region is economic development and job creation. I am proud to support a president who has led the country on 26 straight months of job growth and has saved the American auto industry. We have much more to do and I am curious to hear the president's economic plan for the second term but I know that for sure we cannot change course back to the failed policies of the Republicans and supply-side economics.
* What are you looking forward to at the Democratic Convention?
This is my first convention and I am looking forward to the overall experience and meeting other great leaders and activists in our party. I am especially looking forward to the testimony from various individuals and the address by the President on Thursday night.
