The program aims to provide information on the effects and consequences of gateway drugs, to teach parents effective communication strategies to talk with children about alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, to review the importance of establishing clear rules and consequences at home regarding substance use, and to evaluate resiliency factors that help protect children from substance use.
The program is being presented by the Caron Foundation and experts in addiction treatment for children ages 9 to 14.
