Fire Damages Barn on Wehr Mill Road

Update 3:10 p.m.: Workers on Wednesday afternoon placed a large protective tarp over a barn damaged in a fire early Wednesday on Wehr Mill Road, near Iron Bridge Road.

Greenawalds Fire Chief Mike Smith said the lean-to attached to the barn was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived shortly before 2 a.m. The main portion of the barn was also damaged by fire, he said.

Greenwalds, Cetronia, Woodlawn and Tri-Clover fire departments responded. Cetronia Ambulance rehab truck also responded, providing water for firefighters, Smith said.

Firefighters were on the scene until about 6:30 a.m.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

8:20 a.m.: An overnight fire destroyed a barn on Wehr Mill Road, according to this Morning Call report. 

The fire, which broke out just before 2 a.m., is under investigation.
