For the second time in four months, firefighters battled a blaze at a vacant, landmark barn on Springhouse Road in South Whitehall.
Cetronia Fire Chief Jay Heicklen said the fire broke out Friday at 1:16 p.m. in hay in an attached room to the rear of the barn.
The cause is under investigation.

Heicklen said firefighters from Cetronia, Woodland and Greenawalds responded, and they were able to extinguish the blaze "relatively quickly."
Firefighters also were on hand on Christmas Eve 2010 to fight a smokey blaze at the same barn. South Whitehall Fire Inspector John G. Frantz said the cause of that fire was undetermined.
