Former Cop Pleads Guilty To Robbing TD Bank

He faces $2 million fine and up to 160 years in jail.

A former New Jersey police officer has pleaded guilty in federal court to robbing in South Whitehall on Nov. 11, 2010 and six other banks and a pharmacy in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Carl Holliday, 33, of Vineland, N.J., entered the plea Thursday before Senior U.S. District Judge Edwin Kozick in Scranton.

He faces a $2 million fine and up to 160 years in prison, followed by 24 years of supervised release, the release said.

Holliday committed the robberies between July 28 and Dec. 22, 2010.

In addition to the South Whitehall robbery, Holliday admitted to robbing Susquehanna Bank in Harrison, N.J., on July 28;  TD bank in Millville, N.J. on Oct. 15 and Nov. 4; PNC bank in White Haven on Nov. 18; TD bank in Lansdale on Dec. 9; Rite Aid in White Haven on Dec. 20; and Wachovia bank in Paulsboro, N.J. on Dec. 22, according to the release.

Holliday took $1,300 in the robbery at TD bank at 1603 N. Cedar Crest Blvd., South Whitehall, according to court documents previously filed.

Holliday was identified in the release as a former police officer in Bridgeton, N.J., serving in 2006.
