Update: Lane Restrictions Possible On Walbert Avenue
Drainage repairs will be under way this week on a section of Walbert Avenue in South Whitehall.
Update Nov. 14: The drainage repairs on Walbert Avenue have been postponed to Friday, Nov. 18, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

A PennDOT contractor will make drainage repairs on a section of Walbert Avenue, causing possible lane restrictions Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 14 to Nov. 16, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The lane restrictions are possible on Walbert Avenue between Cedar Crest Boulevard and Brandywine Road, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. over the three days.
The repairs will be done at the intersection of Walbert Avenue and Yellowstone Road. This is part of an ongoing Americans with Disabilities Act curb ramp replacement project to replace curbs ramps in Lehigh County.

Spokesman Ron Young said curb ramps were replaced all along Walbert Avenue between Route 309 and Cedar Crest Boulevard a few months ago, but water has been ponding at the ramps at Yellowstone Road. PennDOT asked the contractor to return to improve the drainage.
